About Friends of DeLeon Springs

The Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park , Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

In 1987, devotees of DeLeon Springs State Recreation Area joined to form a Citizens’ Support Organization known as Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park, Inc. Our role is to encourage historical, educational and ecological enhancement within the park. We provide supplemental funding for purchasing equipment, making improvements to buildings, developing exhibits, and providing enhancements that improve the visitors’ experience.

Our showcase project is the park’s Visitor Center. It features displays of artifacts found in and around the spring, as well as exhibits and presentations interpreting the park’s 6,000 year history and its natural resources.

Officers of the Friends of DeLeon Springs State Park invite you to become a Friend, volunteer alongside us, or donate to help our park continue to grow and thrive.
